Jonathan and Hannah met in the 8th grade and have been best friends ever since. Born and raised in Northeast Kansas, they were married after graduating from Kansas State University and have been blessed with seven amazing children: Alden, John, Nohl, Joseph, Samuel, Maria-Cecilia, and Leo.

Hannah worked in the nonprofit sector before embracing the challenges and joys of full-time motherhood including homeschooling their children. Jon worked for several years in engineering and later as the parish manager for their home parish in Overland Park, Kansas.

Deeply convicted of the call to share the good news, God was also leading them down the path of gospel poverty and they discovered Family Missions Company (FMC) in 2019 while seeking ways to live out this calling. After a life-changing two years serving in Mexico, they transitioned to a support role at FMC’s home base in Louisiana and continue to joyfully walk with the Lord each day as missionary disciples for his Kingdom.

Simply put, the Oakes family is beyond excited to partner with you to bring the good news of God’s love to the ends of the earth and fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus in our lifetimes! They thank you sincerely for your continued prayers and support. May God bless you abundantly.
