Erik & Bridget Martin
Erik and Bridget Martin joined Family Missions Company as a family in 2013 with just two of their children (Theresa and Magdalena). Previous to meeting, Bridget had served with FMC as a single missionary in various capacities since 2001. Erik served in the Air Force for 7 years before joining Life Teen as a missionary in 2007. They met in 2010, married in 2011, and continued serving as missionaries at Covecrest Life Teen summer camp and retreat center in Georgia. While pregnant with their second daughter they discerned the call back to Family Missions Company and foreign missions.
For their first assignment as a family, they served in General Cepeda, Mexico for two years before coming back to Big Woods Mission. Their roles have varied over the years including helping with maintaining the grounds, helping cook meals, offering prayer ministry, running the Missionary Discipleship Program, and helping with short-term trips. Erik currently serves as FMC’s Formation Manager for the Intake missionaries. They have had five more children since joining FMC (Joseph, John David, Gabriella, Lydia and Joshua).
