A Young Girl’s Life is Changed!
A sincere THANKS to all of you who made Dulce’s surgery possible. Thanks to your generous response this April we were able to raise the $3,000 needed to get Dulce her new insulin pump. We spoke to Dulce’s mother Juana this week and she says Dulce is adjusting well, her vision problems are improving and they are so grateful for all the support they received from those who gave! UPDATE: While the major expenses of her surgery have been paid, due to a few complications, Dulce was held in the hospital longer than anticipated and incurred some debt for care at that time. Her family is working very hard to pay those expenses, but lacks real resources to cover these costs. Additionally, Dulce has prescription medications she is taking and doctors visits 3 times a month to ensure that all the medicine and insulin pump is working well. To cover all of these expenses Dulce needs $1950, they would be grateful for any amount we can send; so if you feel inspired to give or share her story with someone who can give please do!
