There are 3.91 billion people alive today who have never heard an initial proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
There are 689 million people in the world who live in extreme poverty.
Since 1997, FMC has sent over 1,000 lay Catholic missionaries to preach the Gospel, serve the poor, and make disciples around the world.
Are you feeling called? Join us!
Who is an FMC Missionary?
FMC missionaries are families and singles who have heard the call to serve God and His people in foreign lands. They make an initial two-year commitment to a country and seek to follow the Lord wherever He may lead them.
Our missionaries have served the spiritually and materially poor in twenty-seven different countries including Mexico, Peru, Haiti, Tanzania, Spain, the Philippines, and Thailand.
We bring the hope of Christ to the places where He leads us and seek to serve Him in those most in need.
“The world today is hungry not only for bread but hungry for love; hungry to be wanted, to be loved. They’re hungry to feel that presence of Christ.”
– St. Teresa of Calcutta
The call to foreign missions can be exciting and overwhelming. You probably have many questions and even some doubts. Don’t worry! Our missionaries are experienced in helping singles and families discern if God is calling them to this way of life. Whether you are in the curiosity stage or feel fairly certain about foreign missions, reach out so that we can chat.

“My time in missions changed my life. It formed me into the person that I am today and brought me so much closer to the Lord. During my formation and my time in the field, I came to know and encounter the Lord in a new and powerful way through His children around the world. I was placed into situations that were outside of my comfort zone and learned to depend upon the Holy Spirit. I wouldn’t trade my time in missions for anything.”
– James F, missionary to Spain and Mexico
“God is the only one who can truly give me peace and comfort in difficult times. He can be my refuge if I allow it. He IS the greatest gift I have in this world. I wanted to continue missions just to have the opportunity to share these truths with others. Everyone deserves a chance to know The Father and His love.”
– Teresa K, missionary to Mexico, Peru, and Ecuador
“Missions changed our family forever by making radical trust in the Lord real. It gave us the opportunity to trust in the Lord for EVERYTHING especially when we had nothing. It changed us because we saw God deliver on His promises time and time again. He is still a God of the miraculous.”
–Vincent and Danielle, missionaries to Asia and Mexico
